We have commenced works to deliver Trehus, a timber-framed, sustainable office development, the next phase of the\u00a0One Maidenhead<\/a>\u00a0masterplan which we\u2019re delivering in partnership with Smedvig. Trehus is the only speculative office building that will be delivered in the South East outside London in 2026, and is now on site with Glencar.<\/p>\n

This phase follows the successful delivery of Phase 1 of the town-centre masterplan comprising over 400 new homes, six commercial units and new public realm. The construction of Trehus, led by Glencar, will complete in winter 2026.<\/p>\n

Designed by award-winning architects Waugh Thistleton, world leaders in timber design and construction, Trehus optimises flexibility and adaptability to create a circa 65,000 sq ft futureproofed workplace. The timber structure reduces embodied carbon by 40% in comparison to a concrete frame and the fa\u00e7ade design is intended to minimise solar gain while maximising natural light. The building targets BREEAM Outstanding and an EPC A rating.<\/p>\n

Once complete, Trehus will offer best in class, well-designed workspace and amenities that prioritise wellbeing such as a roof terrace, rain gardens, biodiverse planting and outdoor seating. Trehus will have frontage onto One Maidenhead\u2019s busy public square, which already features extensive soft landscaping, trees and seating, as well as new art installations from local artists.<\/p>\n

The site is well located in the town centre and close to its railway station (with National Rail and the Elizabeth Line), providing local amenities as well as excellent connectivity.<\/p>\n
