Frilager
Frilager works to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities and experience a sense of achievement in nature. Since its establishment in 2017, Frilager has experienced strong growth and become a key provider of shared outdoor equipment for organized outdoor recreation in the Nord-Jæren region.
Through partnerships with volunteer organizations, municipalities, and businesses, Frilager makes outdoor equipment accessible to children, young people, and other users without requiring them to own equipment themselves.
Frilager is a non-profit organization with a unique model: it does not own the equipment it provides, but instead manages and shares equipment on behalf of various partners. This approach promotes sustainability and high utilization rates by enabling equipment to be shared across organizations, schools, and private individuals.
The service is free of charge for schools, organizations, and low-income families, while remaining affordable for private users.
