SMIL
SMIL (in Norwegian) is stands for community, food, sports and homework assistant. It is a free after school program for students in 5th to 7th grade. The project is currently active in the following municipalities: Sandnes, Stavanger, and Haugesund. SMIL is a project run by Folkepulsen. Folkepulsen is a public health project aimed at increasing physical activity among target groups, including inactive youth and adults, newcomers, and individuals with disabilities.
North Star has been supporting SMIL from 2021-2023.
